Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year customer service experience or 1 year healthcare environment experience.
• Computer and typing proficiency.
• Ability to interact with a diverse customer base, including those seeking emergency services.
• Must pass required training within two attempts or less.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients by phone and in person to collect demographics, insurance (referral/authorization) and scheduling information.
• Engage patients throughout the registration process to create a welcoming experience.
• Ensure referring providers' orders are complete and match the appointment scheduled; obtain new orders as needed.
• Scan insurance cards, scripts, patient IDs, and required documents accurately.
• Secure signatures to ensure timely reimbursement and consent for services.
• Determine and collect patient financial liability and provide cost estimates; refer to financial counseling as needed.
• Review daily schedule for conflicts and coordinate resolutions with staff.
• Maintain compliance with registration accuracy.
