Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and registration procedures.
• Experience with insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and coordination of benefits.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and registration software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and update patient consents, authorizations, and signatures.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all registration activities.
• Review insurance plans, benefits, and coverage to explain financial responsibilities.
• Handle complex registration processes including pre-authorizations and benefit coordination.
• Assist and guide junior staff; escalate issues when needed.
• Resolve registration-related issues in collaboration with other departments.
