Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Advanced Patient Service Representative to manage outpatient registration, pre-registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, while supporting front office staff with a service-oriented approach.

The role requires strong communication and computer skills, with experience in a medical office setting preferred. Onsite position with regular evening shifts and a competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate’s Degree related field preferred.
• Two years experience in a medical/physicians office setting and/or experience with insurance benefits.
• Computer proficiency required; Microsoft Office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and assist customers; cross-trained responsibilities.
• Assist with orientation and development to achieve performance standards.
• Schedule management and patient registration, including insurance verification per center standards.
• Greet patients and notify appropriate staff of arrivals.
• Perform administrative duties (phones, appointments, insurance processes, photocopying, typing, faxing, mail).
• Medical record setup and discharge in a timely manner.
• Process monthly patient satisfaction questionnaires.
