Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: high school level with some postsecondary preferred.
• Experience: two years in hospital service access, clinical service access, physician offices, or billing/collections.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete patient accounts following departmental protocols and regulations.
• Obtain prior authorizations and insurance approvals as required.
• Explain bills according to PRMO policies and assist financially responsible patients.
• Refer patients to financial counseling and Manufacturer Drug programs as needed.
• Greet and assist visitors and patients; document referrals and update billing systems.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve coverage and payment issues.
