Job summary

Duke Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Accounts Specialist within the Patient Revenue Management Organization to accurately complete patient accounts and ensure insurance requirements are met before service.

You will analyze coverage, obtain authorizations, explain bills per PRMO policies, and support financial counseling as part of a centralized revenue cycle team at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to analyze data.
• Experience in hospital service access, billing, or collections preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance policies and patient financial counseling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete patient accounts based on department protocol and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze insurance coverage and benefits to ensure timely reimbursement and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Explain bills according to PRMO credit and collection policies and update billing systems with insurance status.
