Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guarantors in hospital, ambulatory or medical office settings.
• Interview patients to obtain demographic, financial and insurance information.
• Explain polices and obtain required signatures.
• Verifies insurance benefits and confirms active coverage; determines filing order.
• Obtains pre-certification and authorization as needed.
• Provides exceptional customer service and addresses questions promptly.
• May guide patients to appropriate destinations for services.
• Collects out-of-pocket amounts and prepares daily payment deposits.
