Job summary

Banner Health's Chandler location seeks a Customer Experience Representative to manage patient check-ins/outs, scheduling, and financial counseling. You will verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and document information to support accurate billing while keeping patients informed and at ease.

Working with clinical teams, you will explain billing policies, collect deposits and co-pays, and help patients navigate funding options.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of insurance/payor types as typically obtained through healthcare experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Experience in hospital Patient Registration/Financial Services preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-registration/registration processes and coordinates with the clinical team on initial authorizations.
• Verifies insurance coverage, obtains authorizations, and documents information in patient records for optimal reimbursement.
• Provides financial counseling to patients and families, explains billing policies and available resources.
• Assists with collecting deposits and co-pays and serves as a liaison between patients and payors to resolve questions.
