Job summary

Banner Health Staffing Services seeks a Patient Access Pre-Services Representative in Phoenix, AZ. You will pre-register patients and financially clear them before services, verify demographics and insurance, and create patient estimates and review balances.

You will educate patients on insurance benefits and potential financial liability, ensure accurate information, and maintain a positive, service-driven patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service and/or financial-related work experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to explain insurance benefits and charges.
• Proficiency with PC-based office tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Create patient estimates and review prior balances.
• Explain insurance benefits and financial liability to patients.
• Maintain productive workload and meet targets for account resolution.
• Escalate issues to leadership when needed and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Participate in training and adhere to organizational policies.
