Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Patient Access Pre-Services Representative to pre-register patients and financially clear them for outpatient procedures. You will verify insurance, create estimates, gather demographics, and counsel on financial liability while maintaining privacy and a positive patient experience.

The role requires 1–2 years of healthcare insurance experience and the ability to navigate multiple applications in a fast-paced environment. Mon-Fri schedule in Arizona Time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service or financial-related work experience.
• Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of how financial counseling affects Revenue Cycle operations.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and create patient estimates.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and financial liability.
• Identify and set up payment plans when needed.
• Maintain productivity and improve workflow.
• Interact with patients by phone to deliver a positive experience.
• Complete trainings and adhere to policies.
• Resolve patient concerns and escalate when needed.
