Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Part-Time Patient Service Representative for the Montrose Urgent Care. You will deliver comprehensive front-desk services including patient check-in/out, scheduling, co-pay collection and maintaining a positive patient experience.

The role requires greeting patients, processing visits, and ensuring HIPAA compliance, with weekend/holiday rotation and onsite work. High school diploma required; healthcare/office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a general office setting preferred.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and families with prompt, caring service.
• Handles visit preparation, co-pay collection and patient tracking as directed.
• Schedules patient visits or tests using hospital procedures and resources.
• Manages third-party payors and co-pay collections.
• Maintains front desk duties: faxing, copying, filing, mailings, messages.
• Keeps department stocked and coordinates with staff on needs.
