Job summary

Jefferson Health in Montgomery County, PA, seeks a Patient Services Associate II to support two office locations. The role is 100% in-office with 2 days per week at Norristown and 3 days per week at East Norriton.

Responsibilities include processing arrivals/departures, obtaining pre-authorizations, verifying insurance, and supporting patient flow. Experience with EPIC and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to process and interpret data.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Processes check in and/or check out, point of service activities and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
