Job summary

Crossroads Health is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to join our team in Mentor, moving to Euclid as our new center opens. You will be the first point of contact, providing courteous service and handling appointments, insurance verification, and patient records.

Responsibilities include collecting payments, supporting billing inquiries, and coordinating communication between patients and providers to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare administrative, Front Desk, or Call Center environment.
• Must be proficient in electronic health records (EHRs), scheduling systems, multi-line telephone systems, computers, fax machines, scanners, copiers, voicemail, and other standard office technology.
• Must be experienced working in a HIPPA protected environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information; register new patients and maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments; coordinate provider schedules and notify patients of changes.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments; process payments and communicate with billing to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform data entry, document management, scanning, filing, and record maintenance; prepare correspondence and reports as needed.
• Greet patients and visitors; respond to inquiries by phone, email, and in person; assist with questions about services, insurance, and billing processes.
