Axis Health System in Pagosa Springs, CO is seeking a Patient Experience Specialist to deliver exceptional front-line customer service. You will handle patient check-in, data entry, payments, and coordination of various clinic services.

The role supports diverse settings including primary care, dental and behavioral health, with a focus on welcoming patients and guiding them through the visit with accuracy and empathy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least one year in customer service.
• Experience in a medical or dental clinic preferred.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (scanner, copier, fax, etc.).
• Proficient with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provides coverage for designated clinics and/or offices throughout the AXIS regions.
• Greeting, check-in, demographic data entry, payment collection and paperwork for patients.
• Responsible for patient registration, enrollment packets, screenings, payments, scanning records, and creating new charts.
• Ensures insurance information is entered into EHR and handles fee collection and insurance verification.
• Maintains a positive attitude and delivers exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues.
