Job summary

Axis Health System is seeking a Patient Experience Specialist I for the Durango, CO area. You will greet patients, check in, collect demographics and payments, and ensure accurate records are created.

Primary duties include patient registration, distributing enrollment packets, conducting screenings, and entering insurance information into the EHR while adhering to Sliding Fee policies. Travel between locations may occur.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least one year in customer service required.
• Experience in medical or dental clinics preferred.
• Strong communication and data-entry accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check-in, collect demographics, and handle payments.
• Register patients, distribute enrollment packets, and scan records.
• Enter insurance information into the EHR and verify Sliding Fee eligibility.
• Provide courteous, professional service and support to patients and staff.
• Travel between Axis Health System locations when needed.
