Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Patient Services Associate to ensure excellent patient experiences and efficient front-office workflows. You will greet patients, check in, collect payments, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and assist with referrals.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of recent experience in a related medical office role.
• Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations, and other third-party billing requirements (pertaining to services offered by the practice) preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; verify demographics and insurance.
• Collect copayments and outstanding balances.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide visit summaries or referrals as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; obtain pre-authorizations as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and support a clean, welcoming environment.
