Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Associate to ensure an excellent patient experience and efficient front-office workflows. The role includes greeting and check-in, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and supporting insurance verification for accurate billing.

Responsibilities include coordinating communication among patients, providers and staff, handling HIPAA-compliant data, and maintaining daily clinic schedules in a high-volume healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years recent experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations, and other third-party billing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients; verify demographic and insurance information.
• Collect copayments and outstanding balances; schedule follow-up appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; obtain pre-authorizations as required.
• Prepare daily clinic schedules and assist with chart prep for upcoming appointments.
• Respond to patient calls and inquiries; coordinate communication between patients, providers and staff.
