Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer relations experience required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred, Front desk practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in sensitive situations.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment; work cohesively on a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Manages patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, arrival/departure desk activities with accuracy.
• Encourages patient utilization of front-end technology during the registration process.
• Enters and maintains confidential patient information including insurance, billing, and payment information; assists billing functions as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency codes and applicable federal/state healthcare regulations.
• Monitors inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency medications/equipment.
