Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Patient Service Specialist to deliver compassionate front-desk support, manage patient registration, verify insurance, and guide families through the registration process while using front-end technology.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, solid computer experience, and strong customer relations skills; 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with occasional weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience.
• Manage patient registration and insurance verification.
• Schedule appointments and handle cash receipts and arrivals/departures.
• Encourage use of front-end technology during registration.
• Maintain confidential patient information and assist billing when needed.
