Job summary

Advocate Health in Rural Hall, NC is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to deliver friendly front-desk support in a fast-paced medical office. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and cash handling while delivering outstanding service.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and strong communication. Full-time hours, weekday with possible weekend needs, pay range $19.80–$29.70 per hour, benefits eligible.

• Manages patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, arrival/departure desk activities per standards.
• Encourages patient use of front-end technology during registration.
• Maintains confidential patient information and assists billing functions as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency codes and healthcare regulations.
• Monitors inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency equipment.
