Job summary

Intermountain Health in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to be the first connection for patients, greeting and assisting with intake, scheduling, and care coordination. The PSR ensures a superior patient experience by addressing needs related to intake and care.

You will document calls in the EMR, verify insurance information, collect required forms, and guide patients through billing-related steps while maintaining privacy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience with interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills (word processing and data entry).
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to deliver top customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect PHI and maintain privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in person or by phone; support intake and care processes.
• Document all calls and interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by verifying and updating demographic data and insurance information.
• Obtain insurance cards, IDs, signatures, and coordinate benefits as needed; assist with pre-certifications.
