Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Aurora, CO to be the first connection between patients and care teams. You will greet, check in/out patients, verify information, and document interactions in the EMR to support a smooth visit.

This role emphasizes courteous communication, accuracy in scheduling, insurance verification, and facilitating billing needs. You will collaborate with caregivers, assist with forms, and promote a welcoming, efficient patient experience

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience with interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with patients and caregivers to deliver high satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous connections with patients by phone, in person or secure messaging to ensure a superior experience.
• Documents all calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals or consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains insurance cards, IDs, and signatures, and verifies benefits when needed.
• Assists patients with forms for billing and helps educate on financial assistance; processes payments.
• Keeps current on role responsibilities via emails, dashboards, and meetings to sustain high performance.
