Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Patient Service Rep to ensure positive patient relations and accurate telephone communication. The role includes appointment scheduling, patient registration, and co-pay collection across Cedars Sinai Medical Network.

The candidate will handle patient inquiries, verify demographics and insurance data, and support efficient clinic operations while upholding infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in outpatient medical office setting is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required or preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by handling calls, prioritizing needs, and assisting a multi-specialty team.
• Greet patients and resolve issues or escalate as needed.
• Check-in/out patients, collect co-payments, issue receipts, and reconcile payments.
• Schedule appointments, complete patient registrations, and manage payments.
• Assist with physician scheduling and look for opportunities for workflow improvement.
• Process referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.
• Monitor CS-Link message pools and maintain standard processes.
• Explain policies and services to patients using administrative knowledge.
• Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings.
• Promote infection prevention standards and department procedures.
