VillageMD is seeking a patient-focused Front Desk/Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage registration, and support billing and scheduling. You will handle calls, verify insurances, and maintain accurate patient records in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, clear communication, and teamwork with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient experiences across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology is preferred.
• Experience with EHR/Practice Management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and directs them professionally.
• Maintains efficient patient flow during registration and provides service excellence.
• Answers calls, takes messages, and routes to appropriate staff.
• Informs patients of delays and assists with comfort.
• Posts self-pay charges, reconciles daily payments, and provides receipts.
• Opens/closes batches, reconciles collections, and prepares deposits.
• Verifies insurance and updates patient records in the system.
• Schedules appointments and manages eligibility checks and reminders.
• Facilitates orders for diagnostic tests and pre-authorizations.
• Communicates issues promptly to supervisors.
