Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a motivated Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage registration, and support seamless front-desk operations across satellite offices. You will handle payments, update records, schedule appointments, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely pre-authorizations.

The role requires strong customer service skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to work across multiple office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous PSR experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Able to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology preferred.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and direct them as needed.
• Manage patient flow during registration and provide excellent service.
• Answer phones promptly and route calls appropriately.
• Inform patients of delays and assist with comfort.
• Process payments, reconcile daily receipts, and deposit funds.
• Update patient information, verify insurance, and handle forms.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals and orders.
• Coordinate with clinical staff for timely pre-authorizations.
