VillageMD is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage registrations, and ensure smooth clinic flow. You will support front-desk operations and collaborate with clinical staff to enhance the patient experience.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, insurance verifications, appointment scheduling, and courteous communication in a fast-paced environment. On-site work in New Jersey, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology preferred.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.
• Experience with EHR and Practice Management System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors, patients, and families in a friendly professional manner and directs them appropriately.
• Maintains an efficient patient flow through the registration process and provides excellent customer service to patients/families.
• Promptly answers the telephone, directs calls appropriately, takes accurate messages and delivers to the appropriate staff.
• Informs patients of delays and assists with comfort while delays occur.
• Posts all self-pay charges, collects payments and provides receipts; reconciles daily payments.
• Opens and closes batches, reconciles collections, and prepares deposits.
• Scans insurance cards, processes verifications, and updates patient accounts.
• Schedules appointments accurately and confirms future appointments; reviews eligibility as needed.
