Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role (retail, hospitality, call center, medical reception, etc).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone with patience and professionalism.
• Basic computer skills: navigating scheduling software, emails, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Handle front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review and schedule referrals; update patient records and explain next steps to patients.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, cancellations, and future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments accurately and professionally.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
