Job summary

Oak Orchard Health Center in Corfu, NY seeks a Patient Service Representative to deliver friendly, efficient customer service at the front desk and over the phone. You will register new patients in the EMR, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, and collect payments to support smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating information, balancing cash, coordinating interpreters when needed, and ensuring a clean, professional front desk environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in medical office, call center, or admin/customer service preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register new patients in the EMR and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Greet arriving patients and guests, and check them in and out, updating insurance and demographics as needed.
• Process payments received via mail, phone, or in person.
• Schedule future appointments and coordinate reminders with patients.
• Refer patients to the Patient Accounts Office for financial plans if necessary.
• Scan and file all registration documents into the EMR; maintain front desk area.
• Answer phones, take messages, and document prescription refills; route to providers.
• Balance cash receipts and prepare end-of-shift reports.
