OrthoNY, LLP. is seeking a Patient Access Representative in Schenectady, NY. This full-time clerical position focuses on greeting patients, collecting registrations, verifying insurance, and ensuring accurate EMR entries.

You’ll handle copayments, schedule follow-ups, and coordinate with multiple departments to maintain smooth clinic throughput. The role requires HIPAA compliance, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some higher education preferred.
• Experience with EMR/PM systems is required.
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel to various OrthoNY locations if needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare appointments for the following day with complete data, verify eligibility and insurance.
• Greet patients promptly and professionally.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Review data with patient for accurate EMR records.
• Collect copayments and balance payments.
• Operate the practice management system per standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure data accuracy and throughput.
• Reconcile daily payments and close financial batches.
• Review follow-up requirements and schedule tests or appointments.
• Print or send handouts to patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Keep workspace neat and restock supplies; travel to other offices as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
