Job summary

Universal Primary Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Olean, NY. You will greet patients, answer calls, explain copayments, collect payments, schedule follow-ups, and update demographics and insurance information while promoting patient-centric service.

You will be a central contact for visitors, help patients navigate the healthcare system, and support the office with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Clerical certificate or degree preferred
• Excellent professionalism and interpersonal skills essential
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and provide courteous service
• Answer phones promptly and professionally
• Educate patients on copayments and financial obligations and collect payments when applicable
• Schedule appointments and connect patients to financial advocacy when needed
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning and faxing medical records
