Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing or patient-facing roles is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone with patients and referral sources.
• Basic computer skills and openness to learning scheduling software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Handle front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information and updating patient records.
• Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and following up for future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally; assist with basic payment tracking.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA compliance in all front desk interactions and documentation.
