Job summary

Confluent Health is seeking a Care Coordinator to be the first voice and face for patients, delivering a warm, organized, and professional experience from the initial call through every visit.

You will manage front desk operations, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, payments, and HIPAA compliance, with comprehensive training and clear growth pathways across the clinic network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in a customer-facing or patient-facing role.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized.
• Comfort communicating on the phone with patience and professionalism.
• Basic computer proficiency: navigating scheduling software, emails, and spreadsheets.
• No prior medical experience required; training provided in EMR navigation and insurance basics.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referrals.
• Handle front desk operations including check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review and follow up on referrals by gathering information and updating patient records.
• Keep patient flow moving by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and handling cancellations.
• Collect copays and balances accurately and professionally, including basic payment tracking.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.
