Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Patient Service Representative at Liberty Hospital Medical Plaza East to provide friendly, efficient front desk support in a busy ambulatory clinic.

You will welcome patients, verify insurance, collect copays, assist with MyChart and EMR tasks, and help coordinate appointments to ensure a smooth patient experience. This role requires strong communication and confidentiality in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Check in/out patients and schedule appointments using the Epic Cadence/EMR system.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; collect copays.
• Assist with MyChart activation and patient portal support.
• Answer incoming calls and coordinate scheduling and referrals.
• Prepare patient charts and process referrals and appointment requests.
• Maintain front desk coverage and support other clinic workflows.
