Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is recruiting a Patient Service Representative to join the Shawnee Mission ambulatory clinic team. This role focuses on welcoming patients, handling check-in/check-out, scheduling, and coordinating with the medical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and accurate documentation in the EMR and MyChart system.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of customer service or healthcare experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain

Qualifications

• 1+ years customer service or healthcare experience.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Familiar with basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Scheduling: schedule internal and external referrals and appointments.
• During Visit: front desk check-in/out and phone reception per Health System standards.
• Post-Visit: schedule follow-up orders and ensure patient itinerary is aligned with provider orders.
