The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative to greet patients and visitors across outpatient registration areas and to provide courteous customer service.

You will verify patient information, collect demographics and insurance details to ensure proper reimbursement, schedule appointments, handle co-pays, and coordinate with clinics and EMR access. This role requires high school diploma or GED and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and visitors in outpatient registration areas.
• Verify patient information and collect demographics and insurance details.
• Schedule, coordinate, and adjust patient appointments.
• Answer calls, screen messages, and triage information as needed.
• Collect co-pays and balance accounts; enter data into EMR.
• Maintain front desk and waiting area in a clean, orderly state.
