The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Patient Service Representative Lead to support the supervisor and train staff in a high-volume ambulatory clinic. This role is central to delivering a pleasant patient experience, handling front desk duties including check-in, scheduling, copay collection, and MyChart/EMR requests.

The position also involves onboarding, ensuring adherence to safety and confidentiality, coordinating with the care team, and helping meet daily patient-flow targets

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in ambulatory/admitting/patient registration & pre-certification or 1 year with an Associates degree.
• Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience in healthcare setting.
• Fluent English (read, write, speak).

Responsabilités

• Greet and check in patients and visitors; answer calls; collect copays.
• Process MyChart and EMR (Epic) appointment requests and referrals.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with care teams.
• Maintain front desk operations and ensure patient confidentiality and safety compliance.
