Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front-office experience while maintaining compliance and data integrity. The PEC reports to the Clinic Manager and works with the Patient Experience Specialist.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service and healthcare admin experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and deliver an exceptional front-office experience.
• Complete patient intake, registration, and verify insurance eligibility accurately.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling in line with standards and KPIs.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR and dashboards to track data and support improvements.
• Communicate patient progress notes with referrals timely.
• Support community engagement and participate in ongoing training.
