Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance while delivering a seamless front-office experience. The PEC will maintain data integrity, support revenue cycle performance, and collaborate with clinicians under the Clinic Manager.

This part-time role reports to the Clinic Manager and receives support from the Patient Experience Specialist (PES).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits preferred.
• Experience handling customer payments preferred.
• 1-2 years in customer service and healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, front-office experience for patients.
• Complete patient intake, eligibility, and authorization checks.
• Educate patients on payments and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet targets.
• Coordinate scheduling and collaboration with clinical staff.
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to support data accuracy.
• Support patient progress notes communication.
