Athletico Physical Therapy seeks a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) for part-time front-office excellence, ensuring smooth patient intake, financial clearance, and compliance. This role partners with clinical teams and PES for optimal revenue cycle performance.

The PEC educates patients on financial responsibilities, assists with payment options, and uses EMR systems to track data, aiming for high patient satisfaction and efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused front-office experience preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance concepts preferred
• Experience with payments collection and patient billing (preferred)
• Ability to navigate scheduling and EMR systems with accuracy

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including demographic verification and insurance eligibility.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities, payment options, and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet established collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability and patient access.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR systems, dashboards, and reporting tools for data accuracy and improvement.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Organize patient milestone celebrations and community-building activities with the clinical team.
• Participate in cross-training to maintain front-office proficiency.
