Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance while delivering an exceptional front-office experience. The role collaborates with the Clinic Manager and clinical teams, supporting data integrity and revenue cycle performance.

The PEC will educate patients on financial responsibilities, manage registrations, verify insurance, process authorizations, and assist with scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel).
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience handling payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience for patients.
• Complete patient intake and registration with accuracy and compliance.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and digital tools.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues.
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to track outcomes and report improvements.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
