Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System's Liberty Clinic is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PRN) to join the ambulatory team. This role focuses on welcoming patients, checking in, scheduling, and coordinating with clinicians using Epic Cadence and MyChart.

You will handle front desk operations, insurance verification, copay collection, and post-visit follow-up while maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering a positive patient experience in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• 1+ years customer service or health care experience
• High School Graduate or GED
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Scheduling: schedule referrals, appointments, and surgeries
• Register patients during scheduling, verify demographics and insurance
• Assist with MyChart activation and EMR as needed
• Check-in/check-out duties and phone reception
• Collect copays and explain billing to patients
• Schedule follow-up orders and ensure patient itinerary
• Maintain front desk coverage until last patient is dismissed
