Job summary

The University of Kansas Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the Kearney Clinic. The PSR will manage front desk operations, greet patients, check in, answer calls, collect copays, and process MyChart and EMR requests in a busy ambulatory setting.

This onsite role requires excellent communication, confidentiality, and ability to coordinate patient itineraries, insurance verification, scheduling, and check-out activities across providers and the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ year customer service or health care experience.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Scheduling: schedule referrals and appointments.
• Register patients, verify insurance, and process requests in EMR.
• Collect copays and support MyChart activation.
• Check-in/out for high-volume clinic and phone reception.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and patient itineraries.
