VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our patient-centered team. The role will support daily office operations, greet patients, manage registrations, and coordinate scheduling and referrals.

You will work under the Primary Care Provider and Office Supervisor to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service. Strong communication in English, superb customer service, and proficiency with EHR systems are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Previous PSR experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of medical office and terminology preferred.
• Basic proficiency in computer use; Windows-based environments preferred.
• Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and related systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet visitors, patients and families professionally and direct them appropriately.
• Maintain efficient patient flow through registration and provide excellent service.
• Answer telephone, route calls, take messages and maintain etiquette.
• Update PCP in EHR and reflect accurate patient information.
• Process self-pay charges, collect payments and reconcile daily totals.
• Open/close batches, reconcile collections and prepare deposits.
• Verify insurance and update patient accounts; schedule and manage appointments.
• Arrange referrals, authorizations and patient portal enrollment.
• Schedule tests, orders, and track follow-ups; communicate with care team.
• Coordinate with satellite offices as needed and support pilot programs.
