VillageMD is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome incoming patients at CityMD locations. You will register patients, coordinate intake, and support the team to ensure timely service with kindness.

In this role you will handle patient information, insurance questions, and paperwork while maintaining accuracy and a service-first mindset. Strong communication and computer skills help you excel in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Welcoming, can-do attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and 55 wpm keyboarding.
• Flexible/adaptable in evolving environment.
• Passion for helping others in healthcare.
• Ability to interact with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills required or preferred by site location.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients
• Coordinate patient intake and other appointments
• Accurately enter/update patient information in system
• Assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records
• Answering phone calls promptly and politely
• Processing medical insurance information and verifying eligibility
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient
• Informing site manager of waiting room wait times and inquiries
