Job summary

VillageMD's CityMD channel is seeking a Patient Service Representative to welcome patients, register them, and coordinate timely care. You will respond to questions with urgency and kindness, handling paperwork for patient registration.

The role emphasizes patient service, accuracy in information entry, and collaboration with the Billing team to verify insurance details. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environments preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong teamwork abilities.
• Computer proficiency and keyboarding around 55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable in a changing healthcare setting.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize and coordinate patient intake and appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with completing paperwork.
• Scan, update, and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Process insurance information and verify eligibility with Billing collaboration.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site management about wait times and inquiries.
