Job summary

Athletico is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to deliver a smooth front-office experience, manage patient intake, and ensure accurate insurance verification. You will educate patients on financial responsibilities and collect payments as part of revenue cycle support.

The role requires collaboration with clinical teams, adherence to HIPAA, and proficiency with EMR systems. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve patient issues.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience with requesting and managing customer payments preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service required.
• 1-2 years of healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients warmly and resolving issues promptly.
• Accurately complete patient intake and registration, including demographic verification, insurance eligibility, and authorization requirements.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities, payment options, and digital tools to improve transparency and engagement.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet established collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability and patient access.
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy, insurance verification turnaround, and patient satisfaction.
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve complex issues.
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to track patient outcomes and support improvements.
• Coordinate communication of patient progress notes to referral sources.
• Support clinic engagement with patient milestone celebrations and community activities.
• Participate in ongoing training and cross-training programs.
