Intermountain Health seeks a Patient Service Representative in Salt Lake City to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet and check-in/out patients, verify demographics and insurance, and document calls in the EMR with accuracy.

This role also schedules appointments and assists with financial forms and payments, ensuring a friendly, efficient patient experience. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, with a pay range of $18.31–$23.80 per

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and basic billing knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging.
• Resolves patient needs to ensure a superior customer experience by identifying and resolving patient needs related to intake and care.
• Documents all phone calls accurately and completely in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data on the registration system; verifies insurance information as needed.
• Assists patients in completing necessary forms for regulatory and billing needs; educates patients on financial assistance.
