Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect PHI.
• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Billing and collections experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person, or via secure messaging.
• Resolve patient needs to ensure a superior customer experience.
• Document phone calls in the EMR accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments and referrals.
• Register patients by updating demographic data.
• Assist patients with insurance coordination and pre-certification as needed.
• Educate patients on financial assistance and collect payments.
• Stay updated on role responsibilities and attend meetings.
