Job summary

Commonwealth Dentistry is seeking a Patient Coordinator to greet patients, manage check-in/out, verify benefits, and explain costs so patients feel confident scheduling their next visit.

You will present treatment plans, collect payments, and coordinate with the clinical team to keep the schedule full and accurate, while upholding HIPAA and professional standards. This is an in‑person role requiring warmth, reliability, and the ability to handle a busy lobby with a calm, helpful tone.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years dental front office experience
• Experience verifying dental insurance and explaining benefits
• Experience presenting treatment plans and collecting payments
• Experience scheduling and confirming appointments
• Dental terminology and procedure codes knowledge
• Ability to use Denticon or similar PM software
• Strong phone, computer, and typing skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out accurately
• Answer phones promptly and schedule new patient appointments
• Maintain and protect the schedule, including recalls
• Confirm upcoming appointments by phone/text to reduce no-shows
• Present treatment plans and discuss fees and payment options
• Collect copays and balances at the time of service
• Keep patient records accurate and complete
• Coordinate with clinical team for smooth handoffs
• Uphold HIPAA and protect patient privacy
