Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy in Arnold, MD is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator (PEC) to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance, delivering a seamless front-office experience while safeguarding data and supporting revenue cycle performance.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager and collaborating with clinical teams, the PEC will use EMR systems and dashboards to track registrations, eligibility, and payments, coordinating with PES and Billing for complex issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication.
• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
• Experience requesting and managing customer payments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional front-office experience by greeting patients and resolving issues.
• Complete patient intake and registration with accuracy to maintain data integrity and compliance.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Collect time-of-service payments and meet collection targets.
• Manage clinic scheduling workflows to optimize provider availability.
