Job summary

Confluent Health is seeking a Care Coordinator to greet patients, manage the front desk, and coordinate scheduling, while guiding patients through visits in a fast-paced clinic in San Antonio, TX.

This role involves HIPAA-compliant patient interactions, training, and opportunities for advancement across our affiliated clinics; compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and PTO.

Qualifications

• One year of customer-facing experience in person or over the phone.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone with patience and professionalism.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn scheduling software and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referrals.
• Handle front desk operations including check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and calls.
• Review and schedule referrals, update patient records, and explain next steps.
• Keep patient flow moving by managing appointments, waitlists, and cancellations.
• Collect copays and payments accurately and handle basic reconciliation.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy in all front desk interactions and documentation.
